5 Tips and Tricks to transform your interiors

Just because it is hot and humid outside does not mean that your interiors can’t be cool. A beautiful summer home is filled with flowers, color and sunshine.

It is a holiday period for children which of course means more family and leisure time.

Here are a few ways to get your home ready for the season.

Trendy seasonal fare is incomplete without a nice colorful outdoor setting with quirky accessories, print on print table décor and cute fairy lights.

Let’s not forget throws that make the setting cosier and also prepared for an unforeseen monsoon shower. Add outdoor umbrellas or gazebos that not only protect you from the harsh sun rays but also from rain.

Playing with natural flowers and foliage arrangements is fun, be it sweet smelling flowers or a lemon branch or evn baby pineapples sticks, they look great for a summer and monsoon table setting.

Remember, this time means brunches and afternoon get togethers. So play along with your bar accessories and cutlery. Use colored stemware, fresh smelling candles, infused water, printed plates and napkin.

When the temperatures are on the rise, bring out the summer friendly home linen. I usually have a set of cushion covers, throws and bed linen, which are made in easy to breathe pure cotton in pretty shades to add the pop wherever needed. They will make your space look fresh instantly.

Using lighter sheer curtains. Not only do they filter, soft, natural light and brighten up your space, but they also help connect the indoors with the outdoors.

Last but not the least, summer is all about hues that make you feel relaxed. So while you have a freehand with hues and motifs, do not overdo the colors and prints, contrast them with neutral colored walls, furniture and play with accessories for the perfect look.
